A free tool I really like for photo editing is Snapfish. I recommend checking it out. They have tools for auto image enhancement, auto cropping, auto horizon alignment and more. Here is where I found the info: http://www.hp.com/idealab/us/en/snapfish.html

I have all three noise reduction tools. Dfine 2.0 is my favorite. It automatically creates the noise reduction in a new layer, so if it strips out too much detail, I reduce the opacity of the layer, usually to around 60-70%. I find this brings a more natural look to the images if Dfine overdoes it. Neat Images works good too, but it's auto profiler often can't find an area to sample, and it doesn't remove noise from green areas (maybe to protect grass?). The green issue alone is enough for me to use Dfine. Noise Ninja isn't as good, but is way better than non-dedicated tools.

Oh, and with both Dfine and Neat Image, if it samples a white area only, select a new sample area as there is almost never noise in white. Thanks Gavin. I signed up for the link exchange a while ago and haven't heard anything. Is it still around?
