A glow is not as simple as using a glowing edges filter or the like. I use actions to run glows and other effects. First it’s way faster, and second there’s just too many steps to remember a specific effect.

There’s lots of glow actions out there, but of course I’ll recommend my Hollywood Effects action over at http://prophotoshow.net/seim_effects/hollywood-effects-photoshop-actions/

Seeing as you got me started on HDR (curses!), I have a small question:

You mention that you touch up your images using curves and glow … glow?? I open my CS3 go to Filter > Stylize but there’s no ‘Glow’ as such – just ‘Glowing Edges’.

My results (for the time being) are quite the most revolting images ever … as I said earlier, there’s no sun here in northern Europe for the time being …
