In The News. Microsoft Raw ImageThumb nailer for Windows and the new look of Pictage I also mentioned a few up and coming photo conventions including Pro Photo Expo 2007 in Pasadena CA Feb 7-10. Also WPPI 2007 in Las Vegas NV on Mar 24-29. I also mentioned a really cool video that teaches album design in Adobe In Design from Kevin Swans New School Of Photography. In Weekly Tips. I mentioned a cool software called Gimp that’s similar to Adobe Photoshop, but it’s free. We also talked about on camera flash diffusers, and I mentioned the Lightsphere (Fong Dong), The Shell by Custom Solutions, as well as the Sto-Fen flash diffusers

    Thanks for mentioning Gimp on your show, I do all of my work on a linux workstation and love using gimp. I also like that gimp runs on all platforms so I don’t need to worry about what I’m working on. If anyone tries it out I would suggest this site for some tutorials. . Don’t be put off by the different look and feel, they arn’t trying to be a photoshop clone, but if that’s your bag try this: GIMPshop
